Jim and his wife Carla have been married sixty-0ne years as of 12/28/24. As most mainlanders, Jim and Carla use to come to vacation on Maui and spend time with Carla’s mom, Connie Bos who owned gift shops on Front Street in Lahaina.
They enjoyed the life style on Maui and moved here and bought a home in July, 2000 from Seattle, Washington area where they lived for thirty two years. During that period of time Jim did business as The Foster Company and was a licensed real estate broker and securities broker dealer doing commercial real estate brokerage, property management, syndication of properties and development. He was one of the original founders of the most successful commercial MLS commercialmls.com in the United States.
Carla’s mom passed away in 1988 and Carla worked Front Street as a buyer manager for a Body & Bath Shop in Lahaina and Wailea for close to eight years, often meeting old customers or employers of her mom, Connie Bos.
Their daughter Mindy Miller and her husband Jeff owned Chase ‘N Rainbows Real Estate, Inc. (CNR), a very successful vacation rental management and brokerage company, which was sold to Castle Resorts Honolulu, Sept. 24, 2019, a division of Castle Hospitality Group. Jim was the principal broker at CNR for 19 years and his focus was real estate sales.
Jim established a new real estate brokerage company, West Maui Luxury Property, LLC and transferred all his listings to the new company and opened the doors for WMLP April 27, 2020.
Jim & Carla love the sunshine, beach activities and long ocean front walks with their Goldendoodle, “Ruby Rose”.
Jim has 49 years of real estate experience in both residential and commercial real estate.
